Could your next production use a revolving stage?
The Gilbert and Sullivan Society of Tasmania Inc owns a revolve (revolving stage) that was originally built by Jon Bowling for the Society's production of Oliver in 2000.
A major refurbishment and upgrade of the revolve was completed by Jon in 2023. The revolve was used by Encore Theatre Company for its production of The Boy from Oz in October 2023.
The revolve is available for hire to Tasmanian theatre companies.
Any theatre company could use a revolving stage. By automating the set design, your production will that have extra something, a WOW factor. You can add spice to a scene, move from one setting to another or dramatise an effect to give an audience that extra visual surprise.
